Adobe ME Patcher 1.6.exe.

Hello all, apologies but I cant actually find a solution for this when i search so if it is on here somewhere sorry for asking for it again. I have decided to freshly install my Sims/WA. I have manually uninstalled both from my system. I ran CC Cleaner and defraged.

I installed Sims 3, it worked. I left it be, just tested the game ran.

I manually downloaded all the patches as per Sassy0984's links to them (I have had trouble doing this with the EAD in the past). So I successfully installed patches 1.4.6.00002 & 1.5.82.002002 (i had to get this one from my WA disc because it wouldnt work using the downloaded one). I then had to install WA and update that to 2.2.8.002002 before I could get 1.6.6.002002 to install. Now when i try to install either 1.7.9.002002 or 2.3.33.003002 I keep getting 'Update Error: Post Patch verification error'. So, as it stands my skuversion.txt says I am running - GameVersion = 1.6.6.002002 GameVersion = 2.2.8.002002 I have run the patch log viewer and it says the previous patches were installed all good. Cant run the game because 'The Version of the game that you are running is incompatible with the data. Please update your game.'

So any ideas on how to get past this? Thanks heaps. I downloaded and installed the EA download manager you recommended Iam, no dice.

Still getting the error. Nichaedemus, I have just uninstalled manually and manually downloaded the patches. Won't I just get these problems again? Plus, it wouldn't let me patch to 1.10 this time around, I kept getting the same post patch error when I was trying to install 1.6.6. The only way I could do it was to install WA and patch 2.2.8 first. So yeah, I wasnt able to patch to 1.10 then install WA and patch.

Bluetones science and nature rare. I have uninstalled everything manually 4 times. I have then installed Sims3 and manually patched up to 1.6.6 3 times. Can't get past there without getting the post patch verification error. I have updated the EADM, still doesnt work. I have tried updating from 1.6.6 to 1.10 via the launcher, it downloads (thanks for making me use up my more of my download allocation!) and then I get the same error. I have managed to get WA on but now I cannot patch past 1.6.6 for sims or 2.0.86 for WA. Well, I cant ever patch again after this it looks like.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I am so envious of my bf who gets games and is able to instantly install and play without this sort of plum happening. I just want to play a game I SPENT HARD EARNED MONEY ON without needed a doctorate in computer programming! Bad form EA, bad bloody form. That being said, if any of you lovely simmers out there can offer me some advice (because clearly it is up to us to make this game runnable because the people who actual make it cant)on a fix for this I would really appreciate your help.
